Broadstairs Electrical is a trading name of NordSys Limited, registered in England and Wales. NordSys Limited is the data controller for personal data collected via this website and during the course of quoting and delivering electrical work in and around Broadstairs.

What we collect

• If you contact us (email, phone, WhatsApp): your name, contact details, address or postcode, and whatever you tell us about the job. We use this to quote, deliver the work, and issue the Electrical Installation Certificate and any Part P Building Regulations paperwork.
• If you visit the site: standard analytics, page views, approximate location, device type. We use Google Analytics 4 for this. No advertising cookies. We do not sell ads and we do not run remarketing.

What we do not do

• We do not share your information with third parties for marketing.
• We do not add you to any mailing list without you asking.
• We do not keep enquiry data longer than needed. Job records are retained for six years to meet UK electrical certification and tax record-keeping duties, then deleted.

Lawful basis

Under UK GDPR we rely on: legitimate interest to respond to your enquiry; contract to deliver the work you have booked; and legal obligation to retain the electrical certification and tax records for the statutory period.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 records anonymised visit data (property ID G-Z4Z0NE3JL1). IP addresses are truncated. You can opt out via your browser's Do Not Track setting or the GA4 opt-out browser add-on from Google.

Cookies

The site sets a small number of first-party cookies for GA4 analytics only. No advertising, no remarketing, no cross-site tracking.

Certification bodies

When we complete notifiable work under Part P Building Regulations, your address and the certificate details are shared with our competent-person scheme registrar and with Thanet District Council building control, as required by law. This is a legal obligation, not a marketing share.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: confirm what data we hold about you, correct it, delete it (subject to the statutory certification retention above), or stop processing it. Email hello@broadstairselectrical.co.uk for any of those. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
