Broadstairs Electrical is a trading name of NordSys Limited, registered in England and Wales. NordSys Limited is the data controller for personal data collected via this website and during the course of quoting and delivering electrical work in and around Broadstairs.

What we collect

• If you contact us (email, phone, WhatsApp): your name, contact details, address or postcode, and whatever you tell us about the job. We use this to quote, deliver the work, and issue the Electrical Installation Certificate and any Building Regulations paperwork.
• If you visit the site: we count visits with our own cookieless visit counter, described under Website statistics below.

What we do not do

• We do not share your information with third parties for marketing.
• We do not add you to any mailing list without you asking.
• We do not keep enquiry data longer than needed. Job records are retained for at least six years to meet UK electrical certification and tax record-keeping duties.

Lawful basis

Under UK GDPR we rely on: legitimate interest to respond to your enquiry; contract to deliver the work you have booked; and legal obligation to retain the electrical certification and tax records for the statutory period.

Website statistics

We count visits to this site, for statistics only, using our own counting tool. It sets no cookies and does not store your IP address. For each page view it records the page, the site you came from, any campaign label in the link you used, your country (approximate) and whether the visitor looks like a person or a robot. To count unique visitors it uses an identifier. We do not share this data with anyone except our hosting provider, which stores it on our behalf. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. If you click 'Don't count my visits' in the footer, we remember your choice in this browser with one small local-storage flag called na_ignore; our counter stores nothing else in your browser. You can object at any time using the link in the footer, or contact us at hello@broadstairselectrical.co.uk. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our site.

Certification bodies

When we complete notifiable work under the Building Regulations, your address and the certificate details are shared with Thanet District Council building control, as required by law. This is a legal obligation, not a marketing share.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: confirm what data we hold about you, correct it, delete it (subject to the statutory certification retention above), or stop processing it. Email hello@broadstairselectrical.co.uk for any of those. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
